Job Description
We are seeking a Confined Space Rescue Technician to join our specialized rescue and safety team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing standby rescue services, emergency response, and safety monitoring for confined space operations in high-risk environments.
Experience Required
Industrial or emergency response experienceExperience with SCBA or supplied air systemsOccupational Health & Safety training (lockout/tagoutfall protectionetc.)
Key Responsibilities
Act as a standby rescuer during confined space operationsPerform confined space rescue interventions (vertical, horizontal, and complex entries)Monitor atmospheric conditions using gas detection equipmentAssist with entry permits, lockout/tagout verification, and hazard controlsMaintain constant communication with entrants and supervisorsInspect, set up, and operate rescue and access equipment (tripods, winches, SCBA, etc.)Participate in emergency response situations when requiredComplete reports and documentation following interventions or standby operationsEnsure compliance with applicable safety standards and internal procedures
Required Certifications
Confined Space Rescue certification (NFPA 1006, CSA Z1006, or equivalent)First Aid / CPR (Level C or higher)
